What is Paramedical Tattooing?

Paramedical tattooing, post-surgery tattooing and reconstructive tattooing are different terms that are utilized to describe a tattoo that changes the physical appearance and helps the emotional healing process after surgeries.

Who is a candidate of Paramedical Tattoos or Scar Rejuvenation?

• Mastectomy Patients
• Gender Affirming Surgeries
• Restoring Pigment in Scarred Areas
• Patients Requesting Areola Darkening or Evening of Color

Who Is Not a Candidate of Paramedical Tattoos?

Anyone who is under the age of 18, pregnant or nursing, having heart conditions or keloid cannot have this procedure done.

Do NOT take within 24 hours of procedure:

• Alcohol, Coffee & Energy Drinks
• Aspirin, Ibuprofen & Alive
• No Oils, Lotions or Creams

Doctors Release Form

Our priority is to keep you safe. Therefore, a doctors release form is required prior to service due to the nature of most surgeries.

Examples (but not limited to these items):

• Permission to not take blood thinners for 24 hours prior to service.
• Permission for final step in reconstructive process.

One Year Post Surgery

Our bodies will naturally heal and take time to rejuvenate. Therefore, Beyond Skin Artistry will not provide services unless a minimum of one year out of surgery for best results.

Yes. At Beyond Skin Artistry we accept insurance, and we will apply efforts to obtain coverage for services provided through the submitting of claims.

What procedures can I submit a claim for?

How long do pre-authorizations take and when should we schedule an appointment after a consultation?

On average, pre-authorizations take approximately 7 days. Therefore, we can schedule an appointment a week following submission to the insurance company.

What happens if my insurance does not cover procedure?

No one should go without feeling complete and health equity is important to Beyond Skin Artistry. Therefore, our goal is to make this as stress-free as possible and during your consultation we will go over all billing options so that you walk away feeling knowledgeable and comfortable.
